{"id":10355,"date":"2025-08-13T09:51:26","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T07:51:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.april-learning.com\/?post_type=practical-example&#038;p=10355"},"modified":"2025-10-24T15:25:55","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T13:25:55","slug":"werken-in-transitie-bijscholing-ambulant-werken-jeugdwet","status":"publish","type":"practical-example","link":"https:\/\/april-learning.com\/en\/praktijkvoorbeeld\/werken-in-transitie-bijscholing-ambulant-werken-jeugdwet\/","title":{"rendered":"Solution-focused coaching in a new role"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the transition within youth care, I developed and delivered a training program for Driestroom to prepare employees for their new role as Ambulant Worker under the Youth Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Goal: equipping for a new role<\/strong><br>The aim was to equip employees with knowledge of the Youth Act, as well as with the skills to support young people and parents based on principles such as empowerment, self-direction, and network support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Solution-focused coaching as a methodology<\/strong><br>Solution-focused coaching was used as a methodology to strengthen the participants\u2019 coaching skills. In addition, we worked on themes such as giving advice, dealing with resistance, and engaging with the client\u2019s social network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>From design to delivery<\/strong><br>All themes were translated into practice, for example through realistic simulations and practice sessions with a training actor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training program consisted of thematic sessions, reflection assignments, theoretical assessments, and a personal progress tracker to monitor each participant\u2019s learning journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to acquiring knowledge, the participants\u2019 personal and professional development was a central focus: learning to reflect, giving stronger advice, dealing with resistance professionally and standing confidently in a new and dynamic role. I guided the entire process from design to delivery, with a strong emphasis on transfer to daily practice and sustainable application of what was learned.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How can you guide young people, parents, and professionals in ways that build on their strengths and enhance their self-management?
