‘I took part in a pilot of the My Insight Out e-coaching programme at Rijn IJssel. This was under the loving and expert guidance of Erica van der Heide. Before that, I had already had a few coaching sessions with Erica about work-related issues.

Taking part in this pilot programme was educational and valuable for me. Erica's enthusiasm about it, her confidence in this form of coaching and in me, were very motivating.

In coaching, “everything is allowed”... Erica knew better than anyone how to make you feel this. She gave me confidence, encouraged me, listened carefully, reassured me and slowed me down.

At the time, as well as my work as an educator at Rijn IJssel, I was also studying for a Master's degree and my head was sometimes overflowing with work, tasks, obligations, etc.

Erica's coaching brought me peace, clarity and reflection in and on all my work. It was very nice that Erica knew "my” field (vocational education) well. This made it easy to talk and was common ground for both of us.

This period has certainly contributed to my professional development as a teacher at Rijn IJssel and to the performance of other teaching tasks, to my working relationship with students and colleagues, and to the balance between work, private life and career.To this day, I consciously and unconsciously carry with me what I have learned and felt . I look back on this process with great pleasure! And on Erica!'
